Curry and Rice

 

 


What do you need

1 kg any meat 

1/2 Cup oil or margarine

2 1/2 cups rice 

1 tin tomato juice (or small tin 1 small tin pineapple puree)

1 stick celery 

2 table spoons curry powder

2 carrots 

1 dessertspoon paprika

2 onions 

salt and pepper

 
How to do it

Cut off meat, boil till partly cooked then take off gravy. 

Dice the pineapple, celery. carrot and onions. 

Fry in oil or margarine until half cooked. 

Now add paprika and curry powder. 

Stir for 5 minutes then add tomato juice (or puree) and stir for 2 minutes. 

Now add gravy from the meat, make enough to cover meat. 

Allow to put the meat in the same pot as the gravy and with all the vegetables and salt and pepper. 

Simmer for 1 hour until well cooked. 

Boil rice and serve with curry.
